Tenet Healthcare is currently seeking a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician to join our Family Medicine Residency Program at Valley Baptist Medical - Harlingen.
The Family Medicine Residency Program is a community-based program who recently celebrated their 20th year of teaching. We have a 100% pass rate for our FP residents on their ABFM boards! Our full-spectrum Family Medicine program including inpatient, outpatient, OB & neonatal care.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our philosophy of serving the community and supporting our academic mission. This position involves 60% of the week in clinic managing the care of a panel of patients, 20% of the week in clinic teaching, and 20% of the week in various administrative tasks. Each faculty supervises the inpatient service for a week at a time, approximately every six weeks, and takes home-call five or six times a month. We are based out of a beautiful 13,000 square foot building with 17 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, office space, and a large conference room.
Prioritized consideration will be given to candidates who bring unique experience to the team or have interest and training in the following - OB, academic medicine, research, geriatrics, women's health, hospitalist work, refugee care and/or care for the underserved.
